1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Stepyo (browser extension and web platform), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any of these terms, do not use the Service.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Stepyo ("Service", "we", "our", "us").

2. Description of the Service

Stepyo is an automated documentation tool that:

• Captures screenshots and user interactions on websites
• Uses artificial intelligence to generate process descriptions
• Allows you to create, edit, and share visual guides
• Provides export functionality in multiple formats

The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

3. Eligibility

To use Stepyo, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have the legal capacity to accept these terms
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
• Provide accurate and complete information during registration

Note: Individuals under 18 years of age are not permitted to use Stepyo, in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Art. 14), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Acceptable Use

By using Stepyo, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful and ethical purposes
• Respect the intellectual property rights of third parties
• Obtain permission before recording processes involving other people's data
• Maintain the security of your account and password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You MAY NOT use Stepyo to:

• Capture confidential information: Passwords, credit card numbers, authentication credentials, medical or financial information
• Record third-party data without permission: Internal business processes, proprietary systems, private information of other individuals
• Infringe copyrights: Copy or reproduce protected content without authorization
• Engage in illegal activities: Fraud, phishing, social engineering, unauthorized system access
• Share inappropriate content: Offensive, discriminatory, violent, or illegal material
• Engage in abusive automation: Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to overload the Service
• Compromise security: Attempt to access unauthorized systems or exploit vulnerabilities

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you create using Stepyo. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to:

• Store and process your content to provide the Service
• Use screenshots temporarily to generate AI-powered descriptions
• Display your content in accordance with your sharing settings

5.2 Our Content

Stepyo, including its interface, code, design, branding, and functionality, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Service
• Use our brand or logo without permission
• Remove proprietary or copyright notices

7.1 Free Plan

We offer a free plan with limited functionality. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the free plan at any time.

7.2 Paid Plans

Premium plans are subject to subscription fees. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date payment information
• Authorize recurring charges in accordance with the selected plan
• Pay all applicable fees

7.3 Refunds

Refunds may be requested within 14 days of the initial purchase. Subscription cancellations do not entitle you to a pro-rata refund -- the Service remains active until the end of the paid billing period.

8. Usage Limits

Depending on your plan, there may be limitations on:

• Number of guides created per month
• Number of steps per guide
• Storage space
• Number of public views

Excessive or abusive use may result in throttling or account suspension.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stepyo shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or other intangible losses
• Improper or unauthorized use of the Service by you or third parties
• Content created, shared, or accessed through the Service
• Security breaches not caused by our negligence

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stepyo, its employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your breach of these Terms of Use
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you create, upload, or share

12. Suspension and Termination

12.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings. Termination does not entitle you to a refund.

12.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You breach these Terms of Use
• We detect fraudulent or abusive activity
• Your use of the Service adversely affects other users
• A legal request requires us to do so

We will endeavor to notify you prior to suspension, except in cases of serious violations.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 30 days in advance. Your continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If you do not agree with the revised terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and close your account.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Brazil.

For users in the European Union, nothing in this clause affects your rights as a consumer under applicable local laws, including the GDPR.

15. General Provisions

15.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms of Use, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stepyo.

15.2 Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15.3 Waiver

The failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

15.4 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these terms. We may assign our rights to an affiliate or successor entity.
